I don't usually write letters like this. In over two decades as a dermatologist, I've avoided public call-outs. I've watched competitors, critics, and skeptics come and go without saying a word.

But something has happened in the last few months that I can't stay quiet about — not when the women getting hurt are the same ones I built this company to help.

Before I explain, let me tell you why I'm here at all.

The reason Bloom & Bond exists in the first place.

For most of my career, women over 40 would walk into my clinic devastated about their hair. Thinning parts, thinning ponytails, handfuls coming out in the shower. I'd write the same prescription I was trained to write: topical minoxidil, biotin, a stronger shampoo. They'd come back six months later looking exactly the same. Sometimes worse.

That prescription works beautifully for women in their 20s and 30s. For women over 40? Almost never.

I got obsessed with the question of why.

The answer turned out to be a hormone called DHT — a testosterone derivative that quietly miniaturizes hair follicles from the inside out. Minoxidil doesn't touch it. Biotin doesn't touch it. No matter how much of either you use, if DHT is driving your hair loss, nothing changes.

That's when I partnered with Bloom & Bond to create the world's first dual-action DHT blocker made from just two simple, natural active ingredients. No drugs. No side effects. No 40-ingredient gummy pretending to be medicine.

Today it's helping hundreds of thousands of women regrow hair they thought was gone forever.

And then Lenoria showed up.

They didn't just copy our brand.
They copied everything.

Don't take my word for it. Look at the dates.

Nearly four months after ours. And that very first post of theirs? A near-identical copy of one of our most-viewed Instagram reels.

It didn't stop there.

First, they copied our bag.

When Bloom & Bond launched, we shipped in a simple kraft bag. We chose it deliberately — it kept our packaging costs low so we could invest every extra dollar into the formula itself. Cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil isn't cheap to source. Bags are.

Within weeks of their first post, Lenoria was shipping in a bag that looked almost identical. Same color. Same shape. Same typography placement.

Then we switched to a jar. They copied that too.

As we scaled, we upgraded our packaging to a proper jar — better for preserving potency, better for the customer experience, better for the planet.

You can probably guess what happened next. Weeks later, Lenoria's jar appeared. Same silhouette. Same label layout. Same color palette.

Until we tested their formula. Then the joke stopped being funny.

Here's what they don't want you to know.

Lenoria advertises the same pumpkin seed oil concentration we do. On the label, their numbers match ours almost to the milligram.

But the numbers on a label mean nothing if the oil has been destroyed before it reaches you.

There are two ways to extract pumpkin seed oil. One works. The other doesn't.

Cold-Pressed - What We Use

The slow, expensive method. Seeds are pressed at low temperature, preserving the delicate phytosterols — especially beta-sitosterol, the compound that actually blocks DHT. Every clinical study showing pumpkin seed oil's benefit for hair used cold-pressed oil. It is the only method with evidence behind it.

Heat-Processed — What Lenoria Uses

The cheap, fast method. High temperatures destroy the exact phytosterols the oil is prized for. What's left is a yellow liquid that looks like pumpkin seed oil, still tests as pumpkin seed oil on a basic assay, but has almost none of its hormonal activity. Then they bulk it out with cheap filler oils to hit their target price.

The result? A product that reads identically to ours on paper, sells for a few dollars less, and does nothing for the women who buy it.

And no, they aren't third-party tested.

Every batch we produce goes through independent third-party testing. Certificates of analysis. cGMP-certified manufacturing. We publish all of it, because women swallowing something every morning deserve to know what's actually in the capsule.

Lenoria does none of this. No third-party testing. No certificates of analysis. No cGMP certification. Nothing to verify that what's on the label is what's in the jar.

When a brand won't prove what's in their product, there is usually a reason.

This is what frustrates me most.

The women walking into my clinic — the ones who inspired this formula in the first place — have already been let down by minoxidil, biotin, hair vitamins, expensive shampoos, cortisone scalp injections, every trend the hair loss industry could sell them.

When they finally find something that actually works, and then a copycat intercepts them with a watered-down version sold through our own stolen ads… they go back to square one. Three more months lost. More shedding. More hiding under hats and headbands. More crying before wash day.

For a lot of women over 40, that's the moment they give up on their hair entirely.

This was never about ego.

If Lenoria had genuinely built a better formula, I would be the first person to refer patients to them. I've spent my entire career telling women to use whatever works — even when "whatever works" wasn't what I prescribed.

But copying our ads. Copying our packaging. Using our own team members' faces in their content. And then sending women a heat-processed knockoff that cannot do the one thing the product is supposed to do?

That isn't competition. That's exploitation.

And the women being exploited are already at the end of their rope.

That is why, after twenty years of never writing a letter like this, I'm finally writing one.

One more thing.

The moment Lenoria sees this page, there's a very good chance they'll put up their own version calling us the copycats — complete with a heartfelt founder note and stolen testimonials to match. It's the oldest playbook there is.

So if you see something similar from another brand in the next few weeks framing Bloom & Bond as the villain, you'll know exactly where it came from.

The original Bloom & Bond pumpkin seed oil — cold-pressed, third-party tested, formulated by a practicing dermatologist — is only available through our official website.

Thank you for trusting us. I'll be here, still doing the work.

What women are saying about the real formula.

Verified reviews from Bloom & Bond customers.

"I had honestly given up."

I'm 52 and my hair started thinning hard after menopause. I tried minoxidil for over a year — nothing. Tried every supplement my dermatologist suggested. Nothing. I thought this was just what aging was going to look like. My daughter saw an ad and made me order it. Six weeks in, my shower drain wasn't clogged anymore. Three months in, my stylist asked me what I had changed — she could see baby hairs coming in along my part. I wish I'd found this five years ago.

"My hairdresser noticed

before I did."

I'd been losing hair since my mid-40s and nothing any doctor gave me touched it. I was skeptical that a supplement could do what prescriptions couldn't, but the 90-day guarantee made it low-risk to try. By month three my stylist literally stopped mid-cut and said "your hair feels completely different." My part is narrower, my ponytail is thicker, and I don't dread washing it anymore. I honestly can't believe how much mental space hair loss was taking up until it wasn't.

"I will be on this forever."

I'm 48 and I lost probably 40% of my hair over four years. I cried in the shower more times than I want to admit. Biotin, collagen, Viviscal, all of it — nothing moved the needle. Four months on Bloom & Bond and I can see new hair coming in all around my hairline, not just the front, the whole crown. My husband noticed last weekend without me saying anything. I'm never stopping. Thank you for actually doing the research that helped me get my hair back.
